Hot Dogs for Haiti A HUGE Success
Wow. I’m tired. We’re all tired. Tired but happy.
It has been an incredible day. A day of amazing generosity. A day of fun, food and fund raising.
We sold thirty four polish sausages, sixty two hot dogs and an uncounted of drinks and packets of chips.
Then someone bought eighty uncooked hot dogs and buns plus some chips and soda.
The total raised?
$844.53
Yes, you read that right, our little family raised over eight hundred dollars in two hours.
That incredible total included an amazing donation from one lady of $250 for four dollars worth of food, numerous people stopping by to donate without buying any food and one lady who came over to give us all the change she could find at home (which was over fifteen dollars!)
From the moment we first went out to set up, we had people coming to buy hot dogs (although the first ones got sent away and told to come back when we had some food prepared).
We even had one lady stop next to us as we were packing the last few things away ready to leave. She gave us a fifty dollar donation.
If we’d been a couple of minutes faster at packing up we would have missed that!
This has been a wonderful response from our community and an amazing answer to prayer.
The fund raising total for this family who had nothing to give is now well over $1000.
Do you think you have nothing to give?

Praise the LORD! That's AWESOME, Peter! And what a testimony to your kids about how when we're doing God's work, He steps in with His power and makes TREMENDOUS things happen! They'll never forget this, Peter!
